Mexican brand CHARLY has unveiled its Heritage 2025 Collection, an elegant tribute to both the country’s rich football history and its broader cultural roots.
The capsule features four football-style jerseys paired with matching caps, each filled with symbolism.
The first jersey arrives in green with red and white trim, an unmistakable nod to the Mexican flag and the national team kits. A sleek black and gold design and crisp white and wine red jersey recall Mexico’s classic away kits, while the warm wine and gold jersey harkens back to the previous era. The Tri switched to eco-friendly home kits in the late 1950s.
All four feature a prominent Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent deity of Aztec mythology, and a subtle Aztec-style motif running down the front three stripes, a nod to Mexico’s ancient history.
To complete the design, “MEXICO” is printed in bold on the back, conveying the message of cultural pride.
CHARLY Sports Marketing Director Mauricio Rodríguez Vallejo explained: “We wanted to share the rich culture of Mexico beyond stereotypical representations in the hopes that it resonates with Mexicans, Mexican Americans and those deeply rooted in soccer culture.”
Available now through select US retailers, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, the Heritage Collection certainly accomplishes that mission.
