BTS’s Jimin erases his iconic mirror graffiti made before military service
BTS member Jimin has officially said goodbye to his treasured mirror graffiti he created before beginning his mandatory military service. On October 28, the singer surprised fans with a rare update on Instagram, where he shared the emotional moment of cleaning his 2-year-old artwork from the HYBE practice room mirror.
In 2021, during a happy moment with his BTS V partner, Jimin had drawn a large and colorful graffiti on the mirror of the practice room. The artwork featured a halo, praying hands, encouraging messages, and seven purple hearts, a tribute to BTS and their fans, ARMY. Despite it being a fun doodle, the company decided to leave the graffiti intact, making it an iconic part of BTS’s practice space.

In his latest post, Jimin captioned the video: “Removing (removing) graffiti after 2 years.” The clip shows him carefully wiping the mirror with a towel, letting out a sigh and joking about how difficult it was to erase it. After finishing, he smiled and promised fans that he would “work hard in the studio.”
Member J-Hope, who also currently serves in the military, added a mocking comment below the post, writing, “I need to use the practice room now, so clean it thoroughly,” along with a laughing emoji.

The graffiti included heartfelt words such as “I’ll be back,” “Don’t worry. We’ll catch you soon,” and “Please stay healthy, don’t get hurt, and stay happy,” messages Jimin and V had written for their fans before their enlistment. It became a symbol of warmth and connection for ARMY during BTS’s military hiatus.
Over the past two years, the mirror drawing often appeared in behind-the-scenes videos and live streams of other HYBE artists, earning smiles and admiration for the creativity and soulfulness of BTS members.
When Jimin deleted the colorful piece, fans flooded social media with emotional reactions, calling it “the end of an era.” The moment symbolized not only the closing of a chapter but also the promise of new beginnings once BTS reunites after their military service.
