On August 22 and 23, we will have the first of 2 New Moons, also known as the “Black New Moon” with the arrival of the 0 degree New Moon in Virgo. The Black Moon months are special and profound. This is even more true when it comes to a total solar eclipse (which occurs on September 21 with a new moon at 29 degrees Virgo). As with all New Moons, there is an impetus to start anew, create and initiate new important projects and plans. Virgo, the sixth sign of the zodiac, is all about order, grounded awareness, precision, service, and healing.
The Black New Moon in Virgo is here to begin an epic journey to connect our spirit and awaken our mind with simplistic rituals. Since this is a Black New Moon period, we are presented with new routines and organizational practices that we will want to maintain well beyond these next 30 days.
