Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring from the penalty spot early on before Kingsley Coman, Sadio Mané and a brace from Íñigo Martínez completed the rout for Jorge Jesús’s team.

An unnecessary challenge from Abdullah Al Hawsawi allowed Al-Nassr to take the lead after just seven minutes, and Ronaldo made no mistake from the penalty spot, smashing it out of the goalkeeper’s reach.

Coman deservedly increased the visitors’ lead shortly after the half hour mark. A low cross from Marcelo Brozovic was initially clipped, but the ball still fell kindly to Coman, who found the bottom right corner on the turn.

And it was 3-0 shortly before half-time, with Víctor Braga’s unorthodox attempt to stop Íñigo Martínez’s long-range shot coming to nothing when the Spanish defender found the back of the net from nearly 30 yards.

Mane fired into the top left corner and left the goalkeeper no chance after receiving a ball from Ronaldo, while Iñigo Martínez scored his second in the 80th minute, turning Abdulrahman Ghareeb’s corner into the far corner.

Data report: Ronaldo stars again

It was one-way traffic for most of the match, with Al-Nassr producing 2.81 expected goals (xG) with 16 shots to Al-Najma’s 0.24 with just three shots.

And Ronaldo led the way for the visitors, with the Portuguese striker responsible for 1.17 Al-Nassr xG as he recorded the most shots (four) and touches in the box (five) of any player.

To date he has scored 95 goals in 98 Saudi Pro League matches, 26 of them from the penalty spot.
