A COUPLE were caught frolicking in a car while speeding down a German motorway at 140km/h, almost causing a major crash.
The couple were seen on Monday morning in a Ford swerving on the A1 near Münster, as they headed towards Dortmund.

A shocked witness told police he saw the 37-year-old driver and 33-year-old female passenger “obviously having sex” while the car was turning between lanes.
At one point, the vehicle veered so sharply to the right that it forced a truck onto the shoulder to avoid an accident, local media reported.
The police intercepted the couple shortly afterwards at a service station on the outskirts of Münster.
The man was arrested and now faces criminal proceedings for dangerous interference with road traffic.

Germany’s famous Autobahn is known for its sections without speed limits, but not all sections are free of restrictions.
It comes after a driver was caught speeding on the Autobahn in July at a staggering 200mph, which is more than 124mph above the posted speed limit.
The driver was stopped during a routine check on the A2 motorway in Burg, west of Berlin.
The driver’s identity has not been revealed.
The driver was fined €900 (£784), banned from driving for three months and had two points deducted from his licence, according to Magdeburg police.
An Enforcement Trailer, a stationary radar system, detected the vehicle.
The team showed “the highest record speed,” according to authorities.
Meanwhile, a German couple was arrested after allegedly having sex in front of horrified British tourists and children at a Magaluf hotel.
The 43-year-old man and 42-year-old woman are accused of brazenly frolicking in the water at the four-star Mon Port Hotel & Spa in Port d’Andratx.
Prosecutors say several minors and their horrified families witnessed the X scenes on August 13 last year.
The adults reportedly begged the couple to stop, but were ignored.

The couple was arrested and has now been charged with a crime of indecent exposure.
Prosecutors are demanding they each pay a fine of £4,685 if they are found guilty at an upcoming trial in Palma, the capital of Mallorca.
SPEED RULES ON THE AUTOBAHN
Germany’s Autobahn may be world famous for its lack of speed limits, but not all sections are free.
• Unlimited, but not everywhere: About 70% of the network recommends maximum speeds of 130 km/h (81 mph), although some drivers go faster.
• Speed limits apply: Approximately 30% of roads have fixed limits, especially near cities, intersections or accident-prone areas.
• Smart controls: Another 9% use electronic traffic systems to enforce variable limits during heavy traffic or bad weather.
• Fines and prohibitions: Drivers caught speeding can face hefty fines, license points and even driving bans, especially for reckless or dangerous behaviour.
