Warsaw has many amazing restaurants for everyone. It’s easy to find traditional Polish food or authentic ethnic cuisine. While Polish food is not particularly vegetarian-friendly, there are a variety of vegan restaurant options in Warsaw today.
Over the years, many places began to also cater to families with children and, as a result, many restaurants and cafes opened play areas and children’s corners and outdoor play areas. Honestly, we’ve eaten at some of the best restaurants in Warsaw with kids.
What I love about this setup is that almost every place we’ve been to in Warsaw doesn’t just cater to families, so it doesn’t feel like you’re stuck at Chuck E Cheese. Most of the time, these are regular places that welcome children, so only 25% of people are there with family. Wondering where to eat with kids in Warsaw? Here are our picks.
Polish restaurants in Warsaw with children
Zapiecek Polskie Pierogarnie
A trip to Poland is a wasted trip without pierogi (important: pierogi It’s already plural, so don’t call them pierogies as they do in the United States). Pierogi can be eaten sweet or savory, with different fillings and toppings, whether boiled, baked or fried.
Zapiecek is a restaurant chain with multiple locations offering fresh, tasty pierogi, many with vegetarian fillings.
Bar Mleczny (milk bar)
Visiting a traditional milk bar is a must-do on your trip to Poland and should be high on your food bucket list. Milk bars were extremely popular in communist Poland, where people often came for super cheap traditional food. While most of them are gone, Warsaw decided to leave some to maintain the tradition.
Don’t expect the staff to speak much English, so be prepared for a surprise meal. Some of the best milk bars include Rusałka (Floriańska 14), Familijny (Nowy Świat 39) and the recently renovated Prasowy (Marszałkowska 10/16).
Restauracja Wiejska Chata
A little outside Warsaw, in Zielonka, but this place offers folkloric decor with a large fenced garden with a playground where children can roam freely. If you are looking for a pleasant atmosphere, this could be your choice.
Dom Stary
Great Polish restaurants with unique folk decor. Children can choose something from the children’s menu and free ice cream.
I prefer their menu to other traditional Polish restaurants in Warsaw (like Oberża Pod Czerwonym Wieprzem) since they have more meatless dishes. It is recommended to reserve a table.

Restaurants with gaming area in Warsaw
The elephant
Warsaw Śródmieście, Bankowy Square 1
Der Elefant is a stylish restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating areas, but not many know (as it is well hidden) that they have a large children’s play area on the first floor with slide and ball pit.
The food is excellent, combining traditional Polish cuisine and seasonal specialties, such as chanterelles, with an international touch.
Otto Pompieri
Warsaw Śródmieście, Bankowy Square 1
My kids would tell you it’s their favorite place to eat. Very traditional Italian restaurant (every time we visit we meet many Italians) with a huge play area with slides, games, ball pits and toys in the basement.

Josek Gruby
Warszawa Śródmieście, al. Jana Pawla II 27
Gruby Josek serves Polish cuisine with a modern touch and features a small play area. On weekends there are entertainment for families with art, puppet and song workshops. Plus, kids eat free on Sundays.
Kuźnia Kulturalna
Warsaw Wilanów, ul. Stanisława Kostki Potockiego 24
Another restaurant serving modern Polish cuisine enhanced with original international recipes. For the little ones, there is a large children’s area (indoor and outdoor), which includes a tent with a wooden floor and a large sandbox with toys. On weekends you can also meet entertainers.
Izumi Sushi Bialy Kamien
Warsaw Mokotów, ul. Bialy Kamien 4
At Izumi Sushi you can feel like you are in a tropical palm house that is not affected by the seasons, which is already an attraction for children.
Top quality sushi and a cute kids’ corner that gets seasonal updates with the seasons, so kids will want to come back for more and more.
Videlec
Warsaw Ochota, ul. Grojecka 194
The food is delicious and the kids can play with lots of toys in the corner right next to the family section, which is a plus as parents of young children can keep an eye on them at all times.

Trattoria da Antonio
Warsaw Śródmieście, ul. Zurawia 18
They have several locations in Warsaw, each with a play corner, but in my opinion the best is the main one on ul. Żurawia. Serves traditional Italian foods such as pizza, pasta and salads.
The little chef
It’s not exactly a play corner, but it’s worth mentioning because it’s my kids’ most memorable dinner. Le Petit Chef is a global “chain” and shows an animation on the plate starring a little chef. We did it in Warsaw because it was a little cheaper than anywhere else and we highly recommend it.

Cafes with children’s areas
Wedel
Poland has some of the best liquid chocolate on the planet. It is thick and rich in flavor. Do yourself a favor and stop by one of the Wedel cafes for a cup of hot or cold chocolate.
For beginners, I recommend a tasting menu that contains three small cups of hot chocolate: traditional, dark, and white. Another one of my favorites is Amaretto milk chocolate.
Wedel recently opened a Chocolate Factory museum, which is a fun activity for children and adults before or after a visit to their cafe.
Klubokawiarnia Kolonia
Warsaw Ochota, ul. Łęczycka 2
A wooden house with an intimate atmosphere, where you can feel as if you were in a cafe by the sea. The proximity of the children’s play area allows them to be monitored at all times. The small beach has a trampoline, slide and toys to play with.
Klubokawiarnia Polana
Warsaw Wilanów, ul. Franciszka Klimczaka 5/81
A family restaurant inspired by the forest and the glade. Perfect for playdates and they regularly offer developmental classes for children and adults. There are children’s toys scattered throughout the place.
hop
Warsaw Prague Południe, ul. Bora-Komorowskiego 56A/lok U8
The play area is designed so that the guardian can see the child from each seat. It has a structure with a large slide and recreational and educational corners, which include a wooden train and a carpentry workshop. The children’s menu includes much more than fries and nuggets, but also many healthy options.
Anse Kabanse
Warsaw Wola, ul. Sowinskiego 25
Nice colorful cafe with a small area for children under 6 years old. Climbing structure with lots of extra toys and even a separate baby area.
Joe Lemonadowy
Warsaw Bielany, ul. Sokratesa 13D
Probably one of the largest play areas in a cafe, catering for children up to 11 years old and also babies. There are lots of toys and lots of space to play, as well as animations.
Cafe Przygoda Zabaw Room
Warsaw Mokotów, ul. Bobrowiecka 10
Fantastic, clean climbing structure with tents and additional toys around it. If I had to choose only one toy cafe, I would say Café Przygoda is the best option.
Mlociny Gallery
It is not a cafe itself, but several shopping centers where you can find slides and play corners for children that are completely free. At Galeria Mlociny there is a giant slide that my kids love and it’s right in front of Café Nero, so you can sit and watch the kids go up and down. There is also a children’s play area just above the café on the first floor.
