Hancock Aviation expands operations in Central Asia with new liner station in Shymkent, Kazakhstan

Hancock Aviation, a leading international EASA Part 145 provider based in Germany, has announced the opening of a new line maintenance station at Shymkent International Airport (CIT), Kazakhstan.

This strategic expansion complements the company’s existing station in Almaty (ALA) and marks an important milestone in Hancock Aviation’s commitment to growth in Central Asia.

The new station will initially support Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft, with plans to expand its capabilities to Boeing 747 as demand increases.

Additional aircraft types, including Boeing 737 and 777, are currently being reviewed for future inclusion.

Benjamin Nolden, responsible manager of Hancock Aviation, said: “With growing demand for widebody aircraft support in the region, our new Shymkent station strengthens Hancock Aviation’s presence in Kazakhstan.

“We see substantial investments in smaller airports across the country with the goal of attracting new airline customers. Our trusted partner, World Aircraft Services, a US and Kazakhstan-based company specializing in cargo and ground handling, has been instrumental in helping us understand the Kazakh spirit.

“We are truly impressed by the skills, experience and work ethic of our local Kazakh engineers.”

The Shymkent station is part of a wider regional strategy, with a new facility in Turkestan (HSA) already in development and expected to open soon.

Hancock Aviation specializes in specialist aviation services including global Flying Spanner support, ad hoc line maintenance and aircraft transition projects.

The company’s agile and flexible approach continues to meet the changing needs of airlines operating in dynamic markets.
