While visiting my family for my aunt’s 90th birthday dinner, I spent a couple of days in Charlotte, North Carolina. SouthPark Shopping Center and the surrounding neighborhood offers unique upscale shopping and dining options. I really enjoyed visiting Phillips Place and SouthPark Specialty Storesnearby outdoor shopping complexes.
When I show an outfit that includes a scarf, it’s always a few years old, so today I’m happy to share a new scarf. When I saw him in rag and bone store on Phillips Place, was the item that resonated with me the most. I knew without a doubt that I would enjoy using it for many years.
The geometric print and the softness of the fabric are precisely what I look for in a scarf. The 55-inch square scarf is 77% modal and 23% silk. I bought it herebut it is also here.

Our morning temperatures were freezing, but they climbed into the sixties when I wore this look to buy groceries to deliver to my parents. Later, Mr. Mickey had a doctor’s appointment, so the look was comfortable and appropriate for the day. I wear the sweater in size medium and it is here. Sculpted pants are here in wide leg, here on a straight leg, and here in boot cut. This time, I ordered the straight pants in petite 8 to wear with flats and low heels. the shoes are here. The bag and belt are no longer available, but I bought them. here.

Large square scarves have always been a favorite accessory, adding warmth and delicacy to an otherwise simple outfit.

My favorite way to wear large scarves is to fold the square into a triangle and drape it around my shoulders. I pull one end up to about mid-hip and throw the longer end over my other shoulder. Wearing scarves should be casual and effortless, so I don’t try to anchor them in place. A curtain or tie is always made nonchalantly knowing that it will move with me throughout the day.

The scarf is here.
