The sudden demise of veteran actor Satish Shah on October 25 has left the entertainment world heartbroken. Known for his iconic roles in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Main Hoon Na and Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Satish Shah was loved for his incomparable comic timing and warm, caring nature. He died of kidney failure at the age of 74.
To honor his memory, a Shraddhanjali Kriya (prayer meeting) was held on Monday, October 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai. The gathering brought together his family, close friends and several actors who came to pay their final respects and celebrate his extraordinary life and career. David Dhawan, Rupali Ganguly, Johnny Lever, Poonam Dhillon and more were clicked at the prayer meeting.
Her Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-star Sumeet Raghavan was among the first to arrive, accompanied by his family to offer prayers. Several film and television celebrities were also seen entering the venue, joining the Shah family in their grief. The atmosphere was calm but full of love, reflecting the deep affection that people felt for the actor. Many remembered how Satish Shah’s performances brought laughter and warmth to Indian homes for decades.
