Venus retrograde in Aries/Pisces: do you value yourself?, Divine Spirit — The Astromomma

On March 1, we will have one of the largest retrogrades of 2025 with Venus turning backwards at 10 degrees of Aries. Venus will retrograde to 24 degrees Pisces before turning direct on April 12. Aries in astrology represents: the self, initiation, leadership and burning ambition. Pisces in astrology represents: the subconscious mind, imagination, spirituality, artistic creations and sensitivity.

Get ready because it will be a great time! Venus rules the core areas of life such as love, money, value, and comfort. Venus also rules the feminine principles, so there will be a lot of reflection, redirection and reevaluation for women in particular, but also within the feminine aspects of our lives.

This transit is quite notable since Venus (like Mars and Mercury) is an inner planet, so we feel the effects of the retrograde period more deeply. Venus turns retrograde every 18 months and turns retrograde in the same signs every 8 years. The last time Venus was retrograde in the signs of Aries and Pisces was from March 4 to April 15, 2017. Similar themes and situations related to money, love, and value may resurface for you during this Venus retrograde cycle.

Personally, I started Astromomma during this last Venus retrograde phase on March 26, 2017. I had launched similar astrology/tarot businesses before, but never got them completely off the ground, so I used the Venus retrograde phase to reinvent and reestablish a new business. Venus retrograde in Aries/Pisces is here to make us redefine and reflect on the issues of love, money and comfort. This cycle offers a gentle pause: an opportunity to heal old wounds, review past relationships, and rebuild the way we value ourselves. This redirection will begin with how we value ourselves and give ourselves love, attention, and comfort.

There may be events while Venus is retrograde in Aries where we notice how we self-sabotage our love or focus on negative conversations from the past related to our value and self-esteem. When Venus retrograde enters Pisces on March 27, there will be reflection and review on how we connect to our sense of faith and ability to surrender our earthly ambitions to the higher power.

As with all Venus retrogrades, lovers or friends from the past return to our lives. This is a time to reconnect with people and if you feel inclined to “try again” there could be reunions and reconciliations. Otherwise, the return of these people into our lives could show how much we have grown in relation to our self-esteem and the lessons related to boundaries.

Nostalgia will be running high now, so allow yourself the space and grace to reflect and remember.

Venus retrograde periods are also not the time to perform major cosmetic surgeries, make risky financial moves, or purchase large luxury items. If you were already planning to do those things, don’t be scared hahaha. You just need to know that there may be things you miss or don’t see and that you may need to make revisions and corrections once Venus turns direct.

Venus retrograde in Aries/Pisces is here to make us slow down and reexamine our beliefs connected to our courage and sense of faith. Retrogrades often get a bad rap, but that’s not necessary. These periods of reflection are necessary for us to tune in, learn, and grow in our lives. If we never stop to reflect and review, how could we learn and become wiser and stronger in our lives? It’s time to reestablish new self-love practices that nourish our soul, reset our limiting expectations and beliefs related to money and resources, and give us a shift in perspective about who and what we truly value in our lives.
