Former Miss Universe India, supermodel and rising actor Vartika Singh is all set to be seen in Haq, Suparn Varma’s upcoming courtroom thriller that also stars Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam. Produced by Junglee Pictures, Haq promises a tense story where the truth is never what it seems and Singh’s character is right in the center.
In Haq, Vartika plays an unpredictable and emotionally demanding woman. Director Suparn Varma, known for The Family Man and Rana Naidu, calls his performance “controlled fire”. To prepare, Singh trained with dialect teachers and worked in improvisation-based workshops to understand his character’s silences, what Varma calls “the silent machinery of guilt.” Hailing from Lucknow to shoot in Lucknow, Vartika Singh proves to be the right addition to HAQ.
Against the backdrop of a controversial legal battle, Haq takes on Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam in a case that clashes with Singh’s character in a way neither of them expected.
Meanwhile, the first look of Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi in Haq came through eye-catching character posters, giving fans a glimpse of the film’s intense world. Yami’s poster shows a determined woman steadfastly defending her dignity and rights, while Emraan’s captures the intensity of a man navigating the complex intersection of law, faith and conscience.
Haq tells the story of an inspiring woman who refuses to be silenced and fights for her rights. Emraan plays an intelligent and principled lawyer who joins her in this legal battle and delivers a compelling portrait of dedication, morality and courage. The film combines the intensity of the courtroom with social commentary, and promises to engage audiences both emotionally and intellectually.
With its elegant writing and excellent cast, Haq is one of the most provocative Hindi films of 2025.
