A romantic song featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Ram Charan will be shot amidst the stunning backdrop of the island. AR Rahman has composed the music for this film and the news is that he has prepared a soothing theme for the lead couple. According to sources, the song will be a visual tour de force and Rahman’s melody will perfectly complement the number.
The songs will play an important role in driving the narrative. And Buchi Babu is known for developing emotional narratives like Uppena. And Peddi is a dream project that will show Ram Charan in a raw, intense and completely new avatar. Charan has undergone multiple transformations and has done some impressive action sequences for the film. Peddi has cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, while editing is done by National Award winner Navin Nooli.
Janhvi plays a village belle
On the other hand, this is the first time that Janhvi Kapoor is sharing the screen with Charan and there is great expectation to see how the couple will look on screen. Janhvi made her debut with Jr NTR’s Devara and the Telugu audience loved her. In Peddi, she plays a village belle and had earlier stated that it would be a memorable role. Buchi Babu also shared that he only had Janhvi in mind while writing her role.
Peddi also features Kannada legend Shiva Rajkumar in a powerful role, opposite Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma. The Mirzapur actor will be seen in an intense role and has pinned a lot of hopes on Peddi to build his career in the South. The film is scheduled for a wide release across India on March 27, 2026.
