Rated highest or tied for highest care and service by NCQA everywhere we serve.
In the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s 2025 annual report, Kaiser Permanente Medicare and commercial plans earned the highest or tied for highest ratings among competitors in every geographic region we serve.
NCQA evaluated more than 1,000 health plans (including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans) for prevention, treatment, and the overall patient experience. Each plan received a rating of 1 to 5 stars, with 5 being the best.

More 5-star plans than any other health organization
Only 11 health plans in the country received 5 out of 5 stars, and 5 of them were Kaiser Permanente plans: the commercial and Medicare plans in Northern California, the commercial and Medicare plans in Southern California, and the commercial plan in the Mid-Atlantic states.

For the 10th consecutive rating cycle, Kaiser Permanente has more 5- and 4.5-star plans combined than any healthcare organization in the country. Only 6.5% of plans evaluated by NCQA earned a rating of 4.5 stars or higher.

It is designed to ensure we consistently provide high-value, evidence-based care.”
NCQA is a private, nonprofit organization that measures and accredits health care plans. NCQA Qualifications They are based on a series of measures that evaluate the performance of each plan. Measures include general treatment, prevention, equity and patient experience.
