Hello Astromomma family! I wanted to write something different today.
Many of you have come to me for personal readings on how to make money, invest, and grow your finances.
In today’s wild and ever-changing economy, knowing your second and eighth houses is like having a secret monetary compass. These houses show you not only how to earn and attract income naturally, but also how you can build wealth, share resources, and adapt when times are uncertain. By tuning into your chart’s money plan, you’ll discover practical ways to improve your spending power and stay abundant, even in the midst of chaos!
Money is always a BIG topic of personal inquiries and today I wanted to discuss how the 2nd and 8th houses in a birth chart are responsible for showing how you earn, accumulate and grow your finances.
The second house in astrology is naturally ruled by the sign of Taurus and deals with what and who you value, how you earn based on your own efforts and your overall resources.
The 8th house in astrology is naturally ruled by the sign of Scorpio and deals with other people’s values and resources, their ability to receive and inheritances/payments.
Both houses and the signs that rule them say a lot about how you will earn money, how you will grow/invest money, and any karma you have in your finances.
To keep it simple, we will simply look at the signs that govern these houses and not focus on any other planets that may reside in these houses in your birth chart.
I will use my own birth chart to further demonstrate the power of knowing the signs that govern the second and eighth houses.
In my own birth chart, I have Sagittarius as an ascending sign. The sign that rules my second house is Capricorn. The sign that rules my eighth house is Cancer.
So in terms of how I make money, who or what I value and my resources, which is what the 2nd house rules, I am very practical and disciplined with money. At the highest vibration, I am extremely motivated and resourceful with my finances and my time. At the lowest vibration, I can be a little stingy and overly cautious with my finances. These are all very Capricorian traits that again rule this second house.
In terms of how I receive money or resources from others and their contributions to my wealth, which is what the 8th house gives me, I am often very nurturing and a little more emotional. Many times in my life I have had earthly “angels” appear to care for me and their contributions have led to great transformations in my life. At the highest vibration, I am someone who finds it comforting to be cared for and nourished by the generosity of others. At the lower vibration, I can sometimes become moody or defensive when others try to “control” me with their own resources and contributions. You can see how others often give me a sense of security and comfort related to their generous nature, which is very Cancerian, like the one that again rules my 8th house.
Then you’ll see how to know how the signs that rule the 2nd and 8th houses make a difference in how you win, attract, and interact with your own finances and those of others.
When I am in a lower vibration related to my second or eighth house, I can quickly shift it and begin to feel empowered and inspired by my ability to not only create but attract wealth into my life.
