The plot stumbles over cardboard cut-out templates, predictable rhythms and excess spectacle. Kabir goes rogue and takes a job from KALI, an international power bloc led by Gautam Gulati (KC Shankar), but remains tied to the common good of India. NT Rama Rao Jr is the archetypal lone wolf, defying logic as he clings to a plane or single-handedly decimates armies. These two men operate like military-grade tanks, immune to injury long enough to distract from a story that weaves together random, often unnecessary plot points…

…You can see that a lot of money has been spent choreographing action sequences in global tourist spots, but none of them have the intensity that could put one on the edge of one’s seat. Interestingly, the camera cuts to Jr. NTR’s face in the middle of the action, slowing down the sequence unnecessarily. The confrontations between Kabir and Vikram seem like variants of a soft drink commercial, where the star comes up with a punchline about overcoming fear. It’s cinema without effervescence!…
